For Project 2, you will use Microsoft Word to produce two
products: a Professional Resume and a Brochure/Newsletter.
Part 1 - Professional Resume
- Follow Microsoft Word Project 3 in your Office XP workbook
to produce a professional resume (you do not have to produce
the cover letter) for
yourself (your information, not Mr. Carter's from the word
project). Your resume should be formatted exactly the same
as the one in the book. Only the information should be
different.
- Print your resume, and save a copy on
your disk under a folder called CBIS 2215 in a folder named
Project 2.
- Do the exercise on pages WDW 1.03 - 1.14 to save your
resume as a web page to the same folder on your disk.
Part 2 - Brochure/Newsletter
- Click this link to open up the sample Brochure from class:
Brochure-Newsletter.doc
- Create a brochure or newsletter with the required
components (listed in the brochure sample) with information
about yourself, an organization to which you belong, a
company or business, or other topic of your choosing. Make
the brochure graphically pleasing and check spelling/grammar
before printing.
- Print your brochure or newsletter to hand in, and save a
copy on your disk under the CBIS 2215/Project 2
folder.
Due: Thursday, Sept. 9, by the beginning of class.
